I have been a professional working in space-related contracts and full-time employment for nearly 20 years. I have designed, built, flown payloads for parabolic flight and manned & unmanned spaceflight, and hold patents on a few promising designs.

I have worked full-time and as a contractor for both private enterprise and NASA on a variety of engineering, research, and public relations-related tasks.

Visual Media

During GoPro's heyday, I was recruited to be a manager of Strategic Partnerships. Once inside, I navigated toward the Media team to become a Manager of Applied Solutions, including experimental Virtual Reality productions.

Prior and since, I’ve served as a freelance photographer and videographer for a variety of unique productions; many in extreme environments.

Exploration

Through my company Exploration Solutions, I have worked and managed research and education projects in extreme environments across the globe. Locations include:

Lima, Peru
Nunavut, Arctic Canada
Galapagos, Ecuador
Taupo & Rotorua, New Zealand
Mojave Desert, California
Namib Desert, Namiba
Rub' al Khali, Arabian Desert, United Arab Emirates
Great Sandy Desert & Pilbara, Western Australia,
Jixian, China.

Burning Man

I am the Technical Producer and Host of the official Burning Man webcast, live from the Black Rock Desert. My goal for this webcast is the same as any other video product I’ve ever produced: to educate and inform the viewer about the true story of they are seeing, but in a manner that Respects Privacy and Ensures Consent of the people the camera faces.

I am proud to be a volunteer to the Burning Man Organization and the remote participants. I donate my time and the hardware (computer, camera, etc) that is used for the webcast and I am solely responsible for the content. I am grateful to the Org for volunteer credentials and the perks that come with this duty, but if there are any mistakes or complaints about the content, those issues are mine as well. Please feel free to reach out to myself here or to Media Mecca about any concerns of the webcast production.
